Rules for Fun

America's national past-time is rooted in good sportsmanship and a health dose of rules.  Athletes, coaches and spectators alike are asked to demonstrate not only appropriate behavior for a youth sporting event, but also good sportsmanship.  While sports are competitive by their very nature, youth baseball is also an opportunity to develop skills in working as a team, and to advance one's individual skills.  Enjoy some outdoor time cheering on the future of Northland Pines baseball and supporting your friends and family.

Organization Initiatives

Do you ever wonder what all of those registration and sponsor fees go towards?  While spending for some items such as gear, uniforms and batting cages are fairly obvious, there are plenty of other less obvious items (umpires, balls, website, for example) and projects that need attention each year. Following are some projects currently underway or up for consideration, based on available funding:

  • Aeration, fertilization and overseeding of Oldenburg fields
  • Enhancement of infield surfaces on Oldenburg fields
  • Potential enhancement of infield surface at St. Germain field
  • Potential enhancement of infield surface at Land O’ Lakes field
  • Extension or replacement of backstop on Oldenburg Field 3
  • Installation of electrical service to Oldenburg batting cage building
  • Improvement of Oldenburg field maintenance storage space
  • Provision of water for maintenance of Oldenburg fields
  • Acquisition of portable mound for Oldenburg Field 2
  • Acquisition of new bases and home plates for two Oldenburg fields
  • Rebuild pitchers mound and home plate area on Oldenburg Field 1
