America's national past-time is rooted in good sportsmanship and a health dose of rules. Athletes, coaches and spectators alike are asked to demonstrate not only appropriate behavior for a youth sporting event, but also good sportsmanship. While sports are competitive by their very nature, youth baseball is also an opportunity to develop skills in working as a team, and to advance one's individual skills. While spending for some items such as gear, uniforms and batting cages are fairly obvious, there are plenty of other less obvious items (umpires, balls, website, for example) and projects that need attention each year.
