Thank you to those who have signed up for the 2024 youth baseball season!  The Northland Pines Youth Baseball registration is now closed, and team quantities and schedules are being decided upon.  If there is a need to sign up at a later date, especially for those in leagues that start later, a link to the registration may be provided by the organization through other means.

Frequently Asked Questions

MY CHILD DOESN'T MEET THE AGE REQUIREMENTS - NOW WHAT?

It is understandable that kids want to be in the same league as their classmates.  If your child has a birthday between May 1 and August 31, they are allowed to "play up".  Other accommodations should be coordinated with the organization prior to registration.

What time are practices?

Practice times are dictated by the team coach. Days of the week are detailed on the registration flyer by age group.

What time are games?

Games are scheduled for 6pm (tee ball is at 5pm) unless otherwise noted. Upon finalization of schedules (after registration is completed and teams are created) schedules will be posted on the calendar.

Who will some of our opponents be?

Teams will be determined based on signups for each age group, which will determine any available opponents. Lower age groups play against more local teams such as Eagle River, St. Germain, Land O' Lakes, Three Lakes, Sugar Camp, and occasionally Lakeland and Crandon (again, based on team availability).  Upper age groups play similar opponents, but Babe Ruth will expand to more regional opponents.

What Equipment Will My Child Need?

Required: baseball glove, protective cup for catchers

Recommended: baseball cleats (rubber cleats), protective cup, helmet, bat, batting gloves

Bats (tee ball through 12U) must be labeled as USA Baseball or USSSA Baseball with a max barrel of 2.75” and a max drop from length to weight of minus 10; coaches will communicate specs for upper levels

Jerseys: will be provided to all players, but each player is required to purchase gray baseball pants. Eagle River Baseball does have a baseball pant exchange program through which you may be able to acquire a used pair of gray pants at no cost.
